The Tao is Like a net that stretches across the worLds.The matrix of this net is Loose and reLaxed…the boLd in “not” daring act in unison with this net, and seem to be favored by Heaven.” -Derek Lin
“In the name of ALLah, the Most Beneficent, the Most MercifuL.
By the Time. SureLy man is in Loss, except those who beLieve and encourage one another to Truth, and encourage one another to Patience.” Quran 103:1-3
I think I need to taLk more about Chan Nguyen. He doesn’t know much about his history. He thinks he’s a product of war and he may be trying to master that discipLine. He’s sLowLy reaLizing He hates war.His pride is something that pushes him forward a Lot of times but his upper nature aLways reLated to Peace (IsLam). He’s teaching me a Lot about disciPLine and how to work hard and practice my faith in aLL spheres of Life. I beLieve He’s very good at heart. He’s just a LittLe frustrated and needs more education.
“Be not weak hearted nor grieve. Ye must gain mastery/ (the upper hand) if ye are beLievers. if a wound has touched you, be sure a similar wound has touched the others…We give these days to men by turns…” Quran 3:139
“The ‘Way’ is something eLusive and vague…dim and dark…in it is essence…IT’s(IsLamic Tao’s)essence is SupremeLy reaL Within IT is Faith…”
-Tao Te Ching, ch 21
if I understand correct, Wang Pi said The Way/Path is dark because it can’t be seen (physicaLLy?) The Quran aLso stresses beLief in the Unseen, as weLL. Thus, the need for Faith.
-Yu Muhammad Zhivago
“In the name of ALLah, the Most Beneficent, the Most MercifuL. When the sun is foLded up, and when the stars are dust coLored, and when the mountains vanish…and when cities are made to sweLL, and when men are united…and when heaven has its covering removed…and when the Garden is brought near every souL wiLL know what they prepared…SureLy it is a word of a bountifuL Messenger…estabLished in the presence of the Lord of the throne, One (ALLah) obeyed…It is a Reminder for the nations;for him among you who wiLL go straight.”
Quran 81:1-3,6,7,11,13,14, 19,20,21, 27, 28
SureLy the record of the righteous is in the highest pLaces. And what wiLL make thee know what the highest pLaces are? it is a written book…SureLy the righteous are in BLiss, on raised couches, gazing…they are given to drink of a pure drink…and it is tempered with water from above–a fountain from which drink those drawn near ( to ALLah).
“Favor is necessarily accompanied by disgrace. Honor is necessarily accompanied by trouble. Honor and trouble are the same. When a ‘subordinate’ person regards favor, disgrace, honor and troubLe with fear, they wiLL not cause disorder… When the self/body returns to nature (embracing/ keeping/ guarding the ‘1’, (Note YMZ: which in our belief is Tawheed) it won’t have trouble…when one Loves himself for the world, he can be entrusted with it. Nothing can hurt his SeLf/body; This is to Love oneseLf. Not Letting favor, disgrace, honor or trouble hurt or differ one’s self, one can be entrusted with the world.”
-Wang Pi, Tao Te Ching, ch 13 commentary
” It isn’t righteousness that you turn your face east or west, but righteous is the one that believes in ALLah, and the Last Day, and the angels and the Book and the prophets, and gives away wealth out of Love for Him to the needy and the wayfarer and to those who ask and to set slaves free and keep up prayer and pays the poor-rate; and the performers of their promise when they make a promise, and the patient in distress and affliction and in the time of conflict. These are they who are truthful; and these are they who keep their duty.” -Quran 2:177
“…Ascribe not righteousness to yourseLves. He (ALLah) knows best him who guards against eviL.” -Quran 53:32
“If Love can’t be just, then curbing, resisting, correcting, and straightening wiLL arise. Those with righteousness wiLL despise the abuser, and protect the righteous, helping…everything then is intentional. Thus the man with the highest righteousness works ( wu work: note YMZ) and has intent to work ( wu work)… Thus, those with the highest righteousness do (wu work) and if there is no response they apply force…
The ultimate greatness ( for man to reach: note YMZ) is simply (to be one with: note YMZ) Tao ( the Way or Straight Path of IsLam, in our belief: note YMZ)…Though aLL things are vaLuabLe, they must employ ‘Wu'(Emptiness, Nonbeing, Noneness, and Oneness) and can’t stop embracing/ guarding/keeping ‘Wu’…To use ‘Wu’ is to have the Mother (Tao). Then one does not toil, and everything’s in order…
Forget oneseLf and Let things aLone; achieve Peace without ( unnaturaL: note YMZ) action…Support (Life: note YMZ)with the Great Tao…Then each carries his own purity and attends to events with sincerity…the use of righteousness is just…Great righteousness equals/matches heaven. Being humane and righteous are the fruits of the Mother (Tao)…” -Wang Pi, Tao Te Ching commentary, ch 38
*****The translation of Wang Pi above may not be 100% correct but I think its highly accurate enough to get the essence of IsLamic Tao. It’s a method that was used by the transLaters of Texts during the European Renaissance.
